Voice search is getting a lot of attention from the big brands lately. Even if it may seem like a brand-new concept, voice search has been around for years. Voice dialing, dictation or speech-to-text are only a few examples of voice search.

Besides, everyone has heard about Amazon’s Alexa, Apple’s Siri, Cortana from Microsoft and Google Assistant. With a simple voice command, you can find information from Wikipedia, play a song from Spotify or order items online.

Another example of how certain brands choose to optimize their interfaces to take advantage of voice search are car brands. There are more than 10 car brands that support Alexa or Siri. The number of all devices with Google Assistant, Siri, Alexa or Cortana, goes over 2 billion these days.

The rise of the Internet of Things will also make an impact on voice searches. Maybe it won’t be 50% of all searches, but it can be seen that voice searches will be huge in the future.
